Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS and BMO certifications required.
• Willing to float to other FHMG practices when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protect everyone from radiation hazards.
• Take x-rays following established patient-care and safety procedures.
• Select appropriate ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis.
• Adjust radiographic controls and position patients for requested views.
• Process films and verify image clarity; retake if needed.
• Ensure timely availability of reports/films for physicians.
• Maintain patient records, daily logs, and monthly reports.
• Perform QC checks to ensure x-ray unit meets standards.
• Comply with safety standards and keep rooms clean and organized.
• Stock radiology supplies and rotate film stock as needed.
• Verify charges on x-ray/ procedures; ensure equipment compliance.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor and perform other duties.
