Job summary

CareNow Urgent Care, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a PRN X-ray Technician and Medical Assistant to support providers and staff at our Grapevine clinic in Texas. You will perform clinical duties, assist with front desk tasks, and help maintain a clean, efficient patient environment.

We value candidates with LMRT licensure, basic life support, and at least 1 year of patient-care experience. This is a PRN position offering flexibility within our large HCA network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required per state
• LMRT license in state of residence
• 1+ year clinical experience preferred
• BLS certification within 30 days of start
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 3 months
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties to support providers and nursing staff: vital signs, patient history, labs, EKGs; may apply splints and dressings; prepares and cleans exam rooms
• Check patients in/out of the computer and assist Patient Representatives with front desk duties
• Assist front desk with greeting patients, end-of-day closing, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release
• Maintain records/logs for in-house and sent-out labs and drug screens
• Conduct equipment and supply audits; collaborate with Center Manager and clinic staff for smooth operations and high patient satisfaction

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an X-ray Tech, you will:

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including but limited to taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs. May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.
• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

You Should Have

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
