Job summary

CARENOW - HUTTO MSO - NEW seeks an X-ray Technician/Medical Assistant to support providers and clinic operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform vital signs, EKGs, patient history, specimen collection and room preparation, while assisting front desk tasks and patient flow.

Qualified candidates will have LMRT license, high school diploma, and the ability to obtain BLS and federal screening certifications within required timelines.

Qualifications

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• LMRT license in state of residency.
• 1+ year of clinical experience beneficial.
• Ability to obtain BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs; prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Checks patients in/out of the computer; may assist Patient Representative with front desk duties.
• Greet patients; manage in/out flow, End of Day close, lobby interactions and records release.
• Maintain records/logs for in-house and sent-out lab work and drug screens.
• Perform equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Collaborate with Center Manager and staff to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an X-ray Tech, you will:

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including but limited to taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs. May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.
• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

You Should Have:

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
