Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-ray Tech - Medical Assistant in Cedar Park, TX. The role supports providers and nursing staff with vital signs, patient history, labs, EKGs, and front desk duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualified candidates will have LMRT licensing, Radiologic Services education, and Medical Assistant training. BLS within 30 days and federal screening certifications within 3 months are required. Sign-on incentives are available where offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs; prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Check patients in and out of the computer; may assist the Patient Representative front desk duties.
• Assist with front desk duties: greeting patients, check-in/out, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Perform equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Work closely with Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.
• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
