The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under supervision, supporting various facility operations including registration and referral management. This role requires efficient, accurate patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities

X-ray Technician Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, assist with positioning, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Operate radiologic equipment, adjust controls, and take x-rays following regulations.
• Use radiation safety measures and ensure equipment functionality, reporting malfunctions.
• Maintain radiology workflow, documentation, and equipment calibration.

Medical Support Specialist Duties

• Perform drug and alcohol testing, prepare patients for examinations, and assist during procedures.
• Handle routine medical procedures, dispense medications, maintain supplies, and ensure equipment functionality.
• Manage patient flow, documentation, and front/back office duties, following HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State-approved Limited Scope Technician certification and license, if applicable.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Six months or more of medical assistant and x-ray experience.
• Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements preferred.
