The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician, supporting in other areas as needed including registration and referral management. This role involves performing routine X-ray examinations following policies, practices, and regulations, ensuring quality patient care and safety in a fast-paced environment. You will also ensure excellent patient experiences through welcoming and respectful interactions.

Responsibilities

X-ray Technician Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, assist in positioning, and explain procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting controls for proper exposure.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices.
• Maintain radiologic equipment, report malfunctions, and follow documentation procedures.

Medical Support Specialist Duties

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs and ancillary tests.
• Assist providers during examinations and perform routine medical procedures.
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered, maintain supplies, and ensure cleanliness.
• Perform clerical tasks, maintain documentation, and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, certification and licensing as applicable, CPR/First Aid certification, and relevant medical experience. Additional benefits include a 401(k), health plans, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more. The position offers an hourly rate of $34.64 to $36.63, depending on experience and location.
