Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center seeks an X-Ray Technician in the Department of Orthopaedics to perform radiographic examinations at a professional level with minimal supervision.

This is a per diem role requiring travel between Orthopaedic locations (75 East Gun Hill Rd, 3400 Bainbridge Ave, 4141 Carpenter Ave) to cover emergencies, vacations and sick calls; valid NY license and ARRT verification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Formal two year radiologic technology training program.
• Licensed by the State of New York.
• Verified by ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations with independent judgments and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
• Per diem position; travel to Orthopaedic locations (75 East Gun Hill Road, 3400 Bainbridge Avenue, 4141 Carpenter Avenue) for coverage.

Overview

Under the direction of the chief technologist or his/her designee, the X-Ray Technician for the Department of Orthopaedics will perform radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.

For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.

• They will perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgments, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required
• This is a per diem position- The associate will be required to travel to all Orthopaedic locations due to emergencies, vacations and sick calls for coverage 75 East Gun Hill Road, 3400 Bainbridge Avenue,4141 Carpenter Avenue
