Job summary

ChenMed LLC is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform essential radiological duties in compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will position patients appropriately, conduct various patient-care activities, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires a graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program and preferably a Medical Assistant program, with at least 1 year of relevant X-ray technologist experience. Compensation ranges from $24.00 to $34.25 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of X-ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.

  • Perform patient-care activities such as EKGs and injections.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment, adhering to OSHA standards.

Job description

X‑Ray Technician

The X‑Ray Technician is a trained medical professional performing radiological duties in compliance with regulatory and departmental requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Position patient under X‑ray machine, adjust immobilization devices, and provide appropriate radiation protection.
  • Adjust switches regulating length and intensity of exposure.
  • Perform various patient‑care activities to assist physicians, including procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of services rendered.
  • Maintain radiological film files and storage; pull X‑rays as required for referrals and/or copying.
  • Keep logs for X‑rays sent out for referrals and for X‑rays performed against reports received.
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and practice OSHA safety standards; perform accurate, legal and ethical documentation at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to maintain organized systems for timely patient flow.
  • Ability to remain calm in busy or stressful situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other required systems.
  • Willingness to travel locally, regionally, or nationally to cover multiple centers (up to 30% of time) and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
Education and Experience Criteria
  • Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology or Basic X‑Ray Machine Operator (required).
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year of X‑ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment (required; 2 years preferred).
  • Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.
  • Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within the first 90 days of employment.
Compensation

Pay range: $24.00 – $34.25 hourly. Final compensation will depend on experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. Position may be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
