Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Huntington Beach is seeking a licensed X-ray tech/medical assistant to perform radiological duties and assist in primary health care delivery. You will help patients feel comfortable during imaging and support administrative tasks under physician supervision.

The role requires licensure in radiography and medical assisting, with on-site work in the Huntington Beach Urgent Care department.

Qualifications

• Licensed x-ray tech and licensed medical assistant required.
• Perform radiological duties in compliance with department and legal requirements.
• Provide patient comfort during imaging and assist with basic medical assisting and admin duties.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs; assist provider with exams.
• Ensure quality of care and report urgent needs to the provider.
• Charting, assessments, and interventions per scope of practice.
• Prepare patients for radiology and perform X-rays following safety procedures.
• Minimize radiation exposure through established protocols.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinate with other providers as needed.
• Coordinate messages, refills, and test results with the medical provider.
• Maintain competency in procedures like phlebotomy, spirometry, and EKG.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain equipment and PPE.
