Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute in South Tampa, FL is seeking an X-Ray Tech II to provide high-quality patient care and radiography services with speed and compassion. You will work under FOI policies, prepare patients, position them for exams, and document daily x-ray totals in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires following physician protocols, maintaining CPR and Florida ARRT licensure, and collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure safe procedures and accurate EMR/PACS

Qualifications

• Must maintain CPR, Florida License and ARRT License by adhering to CEU responsibilities.
• Drug-free workplace policy applies and pre-employment screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize collimation on every image and filtration when necessary.
• Follows all physician protocols.
• Creates and approves radiology exam in EMR.
• Obtains order from the PACs system worklist.
• Prepares and positions patient for x-ray exam.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team-player.
• Must be flexible with schedule.
• Document and maintain daily patient x-ray exams as required by the State of Florida rules and regulations.
• Maintain radiology injectables for special procedures.
• Assist new hires and students with acclimating to Department, protocols, EMR, PACS and
• Assist physicians with Special procedures.
• Order supplies and equipment, ensuring all is kept at a minimum par level.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Complete Daily Totals Sheet.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
