Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care in Florida is hiring an X-Ray Tech to prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform x-rays. The role includes assisting clinicians and supporting daily clinic operations with accurate documentation and compliance with ALARA standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a radiologic tech or BMO license, and BLS certification. Prior healthcare experience is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and one of the following licenses: RT or BMO.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Ability to pass AHCA background screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform x-rays within scope of practice.

• Keep an accurate log of exams performed and document LMP and shielding.
• Verify condition of network and x-ray server.
• Clean cassettes, table and chest board after each procedure.

POSITION SUMMARY

What you’ll be doing

We are hiring an X-Ray Tech to prepare our patients for and perform radiologic procedures, as well as assisting with other medical support as required by our clinicians. A typical day will include:

• Preparing and performing x-rays within scope of practice
• Practicing patient shielding and ALARA standards
• Keeping an accurate log of exams performed, including documenting LMP and shielding
• Verifying condition of network and x-ray server
• Cleaning cassettes, table, and chest board after each procedure
• Performing additional front and back-office duties as required by the daily operations of the clinic, including collecting payments for services rendered

What you’ll bring to the table

A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as one of the following licenses: License for Radiologic Technologists or Basic Machine Operator. We’d also prefer you to have prior recent experience in a healthcare setting such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic.
