Qualifications

• ARRT(R) registered Radiologic Technologist (required).
• Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license (required).
• Current BLS certification (required).
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient setting.
• Venipuncture experience preferred.
• Previous CT experience is a plus; CT certification not required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations with focus on image quality and patient safety.
• Position patients and operate radiographic equipment accurately.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to imaging protocols.
• Assist CT Technologists with patient prep, positioning, and exam setup.
• Assist with IV starts and contrast administration per protocols.
• Monitor patients for discomfort or adverse reactions and ensure infection control.

Precision Imaging Centers is seeking an ARRT-registered X-Ray Technologist / CT Tech Assistant to join our Gate Parkway team in Jacksonville, FL.

This part-time position combines diagnostic X-ray responsibilities with hands-on support for our CT Technologists. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment while providing exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

X-Ray Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations while maintaining high standards of image quality and patient safety
• Properly position patients and operate radiographic equipment
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to imaging protocols

CT Tech Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist CT Technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and exam setup
• Start peripheral IVs and assist with contrast administration in accordance with established protocols and authorized scope of practice
• Complete patient screening and review relevant medical history, allergies, and contrast safety information
• Explain exam preparation and procedures to patients to help ensure their comfort and understanding
• Assist patients on and off the CT table and provide support throughout their visit
• Prepare CT rooms, equipment, and supplies between examinations
• Monitor patients for signs of discomfort or adverse reactions and promptly notify the CT Technologist
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and proper documentation standards
• Work collaboratively with CT Technologists to maintain efficient patient flow

This is a combined X-Ray Technologist and CT Tech Assistant position. CT responsibilities involve assisting the CT Technologist rather than independently performing CT examinations.
