Job Title: In-field X-Ray Service Technician

Description:

Traveling electrical/mechanical technician providing in-field services to security X-ray equipment.

Location:

Chicago, IL (approximate)

Terms:

Salaried In-Field Position

Requirements:

1. 5+ Years repair technician experience
2. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently
3. Proficiency in servicing and repairing large machines/appliances
4. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, manuals, and work instructions
5. Reliable personal transportation
6. Willingness to travel weekly within the designated region
7. Physical ability to work low to the ground and lift loads up to 50 lbs.

Preferences:

1. Experience with X-ray equipment is a plus
2. Experience in electrical wiring, test instrumentation, and troubleshooting to component level
3. Degree in electronic or mechanical technology, or similar experience
4. Proficiency with PC applications (Google & Microsoft)

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Perform repairs and maintenance services for customers in the Mid to Southern US regions
2. Communicate promptly and professionally with Autoclear customers regarding troubleshooting and scheduling
3. Diagnose electrical or mechanical issues from in-field failures
4. Provide comprehensive reports on in-field findings for trend analysis
5. Travel periodically (~2x annually) to Autoclear HQ
