Job summary

CPP Corporation in Albany, OR is seeking a Radiography Trainee (X-Ray Reader Trainee) to develop expertise in non-destructive testing of titanium castings for aerospace. You will learn to interpret radiographs, document results, calibrate equipment, and improve shooting techniques.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required, but candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Solid job history with more than 1 year at a previous employer.
Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

Perform non-destructive testing using radiographic images to determine casting quality.
Evaluate radiographs against technique cards and document results.
Calibrate and inspect radiographic equipment.
Develop shooting techniques as required and ensure image quality.
Endorse radiographic reports confirming inspections were performed.
Collaborate with engineering or other departments to address defects.
Possibly work outside department as required.
