As the Medical Assistant/X-Ray Operator on our team, you will focus on Occupational Medicine, and performs a variety of clinical and administrative duties. The operator collects medical histories, assesses work injuries and performs x-rays ordered by MOH providers to assist in patient diagnosis and monitoring.
This is a casual opportunity located at our Eagan campus. Flexibility to travel to other MOH campuses is required.We strongly prefer Medical Assistants that are certified with the AAMA. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (subject to change)
Primary duties:
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Position patients and take X-rays of specific parts of the patient’s body as requested by MOH providers.
Check X-rays for clarity of image, retaking when needed.
Maintain required records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports.
Measure patient statistics and vitals, including height, weight, blood pressure, eye evaluations or performing a urine analysis dip. Prepare patient for a physical evaluation.
Assist provider, as needed, with various procedures.
Perform urine drug screens by collecting and analyzing specimens.
Fulfill clerical duties as assigned, including sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab and x-ray reports and completing and sending employer paperwork.
Schedule follow-up appointments and verifying insurance coverage / patient demographics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Summit's hiring range for this position is $22.26 to $27.82 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation.
