The role involves performing static X-ray procedures under supervision, ensuring ALARA practices, coordinating with transport and nursing staff, and maintaining accurate documentation in EPIC/EI systems and PACS to support radiologists.

Qualifications

• 2nd year student in an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist program.
• KBMIRT license is required.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders, patient name and history.
• Document incidents in the EHR.
• Follow department exam protocols.
• Coordinate exams with transport and nursing units.
• Continuously monitor patient during exams.
• Apply ALARA principles for all exams.
• Produce quality images for Radiologist review.
• Prepare images and record image release in EHR.
• Verify images archived in PACS.
• Send images to tele-radiology after hours as instructed.
• Utilize EPIC and EI systems; complete EPIC documentation.
• Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
