Job summary

MXR Imaging, Inc. is seeking an experienced X-ray Field Service Engineer to perform corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance on medical imaging equipment across customer sites.

The role is home-office based with limited overnight travel for service and training. Responsibilities include installing imaging systems, coordinating with customers and contractors, completing FDA paperwork, and ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• AA in Electronics preferred.
• 5+ years in Medical Imaging Field Service.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and repairs for medical imaging equipment (x-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, PACS, networking).
• Install imaging equipment with project management duties and coordination with customers/contractors.
• Complete state and FDA paperwork for installation of radiation-generating equipment.
• Order parts and supplies to maintain equipment and resolve tickets.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Provide on-call service coverage after hours on a rotation basis.
• Complete service tickets, time sheets, expenses, and system tool maintenance as required.

Position Description

MXR Imaging, Inc, a nationwide provider of Medical Imaging solutions in x‑ray, CT, MRI and Ultrasound, is seeking an experienced X‑ray Field Service Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for corrective maintenance, troubleshooting of medical imaging equipment, scheduled planned maintenance events, and installation of equipment at customer facilities. The position is home office based with limited overnight travel for service and training.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering ongoing maintenance, technical support, troubleshooting, and repairs for medical imaging equipment (basic x‑ray, stationary and portable, digital imaging, PACS and networking environments, C‑Arms, Ultrasound and Fluoro systems).
• Install imaging equipment with project management duties, site inspections, site planning, and coordination with customers and contractors to ensure site readiness to OEM specifications.
• Complete all required state and FDA paperwork associated with the installation of radiation‑generating equipment.
• Order parts and supplies to maintain equipment and resolve assigned tickets.
• Maintain a working knowledge of and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Provide on‑call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotation basis with team members in the area.
• Complete all administrative duties, including service ticket closure, time‑sheet completion, expense reporting, FDA reporting, radiation badge compliance, and maintenance of tools & test equipment as required by company policy.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent (required).

AA in Electronics (preferred).

Experience

• 5+ years in the Medical Imaging Field Service industry with proven knowledge and skill in diagnosing and repairing medical imaging equipment. Training and experience on the following OEMs and equipment lines is a plus: Carestream Medical Imaging Systems, Quantum Medical Imaging, Canon RadPRO Portables and In‑room, Del Medical, Konica Minolta Digital Imaging Systems, Fuji DR Imaging Products, GE AMX Portables & OEC C‑Arms, Summit / Amrad Medical Imaging.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Competencies

• Detail oriented and self‑motivated.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficient in basic computer skills, Windows, and networking applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact positively with all levels of customer personnel, co‑workers, and OEM support personnel.
