Responsible for managing/monitoring all non-conformities, design deviations, OSW, and late changes to support production. Responds to technical questions, creates work orders based on non-conformities, and attends section handovers. Establishes and maintains effective communication with European Plants, on-site production teams, quality, suppliers, design engineers, and Aircraft Managers.

On 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.
Serve as FAL focal point regarding Plant activities and their suppliers through constant coordination and monitoring.
Provide technical support to X-Plant production.
Fully Autonomous on one plant with a sufficient working knowledge of 2+ additional plants
Ability to lead major topics end to end within the team
Knowledge of how to efficiently coordinate and communicate with all required functions within the FAL and plant levels
Obtains the ability to foresee blockers within the FAL based on station milestones
Act as primary responsible for Plant activities with full knowledge scope to work autonomously without supervision.
Establish/verify the technical content of non-conformities and documentation, including validation of new employees work.
Steer/challenge all non-conformities, concessions, and OSW within assigned Plant responsibility. Take lead to drumbeat non-conformities using initiative and knowledge to succeed.
Organize/facilitate regular meetings with suppliers/partners (Folio reviews, drumbeat, multi-function team (MFT), etc.).
Ensure non-compliance management according to Airbus and Authority rules.
Participate as an active team member including providing orientation support to new colleagues and trainees.
Provide training/ guidance to new employees and act as a mentor / coach on the team
Act as representative and leader for ME X-Plant in projects and meetings as required
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Participation and/or the ability to successfully pass the following Airbus Courses:
Airbus Manufacturing Systems AMS.
Corporate Presentation Skills.
Occupational Health and Safety.
Preferred: 3+ years of Manufacturing and Engineering experience in FAL Mobile manufacturing environment or work experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably with an aviation company.
Proven degree of flexibility and initiative to practical problem solving.
Proven ability to influence others and lead small teams with demonstrated training experience.
Proven ability to coordinate several projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work/lead on major topics within at least one plant
Good working knowledge 2+ plants
Possess the motivation to learn.
Able to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings and technical standards.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in manufacturing engineering.
Knowledge of rules for aircraft design and manufacturing.
Ability to work in a team environment, cross-functional team environment, as well as independently and with customers and channels.
Critical thinking with the ability to problem solve
Have the ability to establish and maintain a good relationship with all internal customers.
Have the ability to work in an international team.
Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to present clear and concise briefings and reports to customers and executives
Proficiency in other languages is recommended but not essential
Knowledge of Airbus processes and methods.
Google Suite (Google Mail, Docs, and Sheets)
Knowledge of common applications such as SAP.
