  • Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to the physician or lead RN.
  • Support discharge planning by reviewing instructions and coordinating follow-up care.

Additionally, employees hired for this position must reside in the State of Colorado no later than their first day of employment and maintain residency in Colorado.Compensation: $19.50 - $21.00 per hourKey Responsibilities:arrival through discharge.Obtaining and documenting vital signs, drawing blood, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, and assisting with repositioning as needed.Provide patients with pre-operative and post-operative education and instructions to promote understanding, safety, and successful recovery.Accurately collect, document, and maintain patient medical histories, vital statistics, test results, and other pertinent clinical information within the electronic medical record (EMR).Observe, monitor, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the physician, RN, or appropriate clinical team member.Recognize and immediately report emergency situations or changes in patient status to the Lead RN or provider while assisting with emergency response efforts.Assist with patient discharge by reviewing instructions, coordinating follow-up care, and ensuring patients leave with the information and resources they need.Prepare examination and procedure rooms by ensuring equipment is clean, functioning properly, and stocked with necessary medical supplies.Maintain clinical equipment and inventory by cleaning, troubleshooting, organizing, stocking, and reordering medical supplies as needed.Follow infection prevention, safety, OSHA, HIPAA, and organizational policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, filing, scanning, patient registration, insurance verification, data entry, and other front-office support as needed.Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, front office staff, and other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and ongoing education to support professional growth and organizational excellence.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the operational needs of the clinic.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and mobility as needed.Maintain manual dexterity to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering injections, and using medical equipment.Visual and auditory ability to accurately assess patients, read medical records, and communicate effectively.Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detailWork EnvironmentFull-time, in-person position in a clinical office settingRegular interaction with patients, providers, and clinical staffFast-paced environment requiring professionalism, adaptability, and teamworkHigh school diploma or equivalentCurrent certification as a Medical Assistant requiredBLS certification requiredExperience with GI or Pain Management preferredProficiency in MS ExcelKnowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures
