Responsibilities:
- Provision of pharmaceutical care through compliance, direct patient care, clinical, and educational activities.
- Assist Department Leadership with daily clinical and compliance operations.
- Assume clinical responsibility leadership in the absence of the leader.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Certification, and Licensure:
- Current pharmacist license as required by the state where services are provided:
- WV: Pharmacist license through the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
- PA: Pharmacist license through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
- MD: Pharmacist license through the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
- OH: Pharmacist license through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
- Remote Workers: Must hold a current pharmacist license in your state of residence.
- Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 60 days of hire.
Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience as a pharmacist in a pharmacy or health-system setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Certification in a clinical pharmacy specialty through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Completion of a PGY-2 Residency in an applicable clinical field.
- Completion of a PGY-1 Residency and Board Certification in an applicable clinical field.
- Completion of a PGY-1 Residency and three years of relevant pharmacist experience.
- Three years of relevant experience and Board Certification.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in oversight of pharmacy staff, participate in educational activities, collaborate with leadership, ensure compliance with legal and hospital policies, and participate in clinical and administrative activities.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk and stand for long periods.
- Lift up to 30 pounds and push 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Standard hospital pharmacy environment with accommodations as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
- Time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
Additional Details:
- Scheduled hours: 40 per week.
- Shift: Day shift.
- Exempt position.
- Location: Morgantown, WV.
