Hydranautics, part of the Nitto Group, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician in Oceanside, CA. Under supervision, you will formulate freshwater sump samples, test products, measure rejection and flow, and enter data into the enterprise software system.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience in a manufacturing position; 6 months as a Wet Test Tech I.
• Intermediate English language proficiency, reading work instructions in English.
• Ability to perform routine mathematical computations with a basic calculator.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Follow 5S and lean manufacturing policies, maintain cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Formulates freshwater sump, collects and measures samples for percent rejection and flow data.
• Enters data in the enterprise software system, including pH, conductivities and flow meter readings.
• Performs weekly cleaning of testing equipment using acid and base solutions.
• Loads/unloads product onto production equipment for testing tasks.
• Maintains productivity goals and documents data and defects in logs or reports.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under direct supervision, formulate a moderate volume of sump to testproducts and collect data for customer delivery. Work with a moderate levelof parts per million (ppm) concentration of salt and up to 500 pounds persquare inch (PSI) for testing product. Ensure accurate test data collectedentered in enterprise software system using basic keyboarding and dataentry. Test non-seawater products.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Formulates a moderate volume of freshwater sump, collects andmeasures product samples for percent rejection and flow data. Workswith non-seawater products.

Ensures data collected is entered in the enterprise software systemis accurate, including but not limited to pH, conductivities andflow meter readings.

Runs weekly clean up duty on testing equipment by using acid andbase cleaning products including rinsing equipment.

Loads/unloads product from manufacturing transport equipment ontoappropriate production equipment for tasks.

Maintains daily, weekly and monthly productivity goals set byproduction management, including clean-up or rework.

Documents product data information such as serial number, defects,rejects, scarp etc. on production logs, reports or summaries aswell as any other record keeping activities as it pertains toproducts throughout shift.

Follows all quality, safety and lean manufacturing policies,processes or procedures including sustaining work station and areain cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards.

Informs Production Supervisor and/or Production Lead of increasedpattern of defects in products.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED; and 6 months manufacturing experience;or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-year experience in a manufacturing positon within theorganization; and, 6 months as a Wet Test Tech I.

Intermediate language skills, including verbal and writtenproficiency in English; ability to read work instructions inEnglish.

Ability to perform routine mathematical computations with the aidof a basic hand-held calculator.

Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a largeand/or small team while maintaining flexibility to changingpriorities.

Must be detail-oriented and able to work in fastpaced-manufacturing environment. Outstanding follow-through to meetproduction requirements.

Deal with standard and basic non-complex issues; basicproblem-solving ability; carry out simple verbal work instructions.

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
