Overview

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a WSTF Groundwater Modeler & Statistical Analyst (3751).

This is a short-term remote position with possible travel to the site.

Role Summary

Responsible for quantitative analysis supporting monitoring network optimization and plume stability evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct statistical analyses including Mann‑Kendall trends, time‑series analysis, PCA, and geostatistics (variography/kriging)
  • Apply groundwater flow and transport models (e.g., MODFLOW)
  • Evaluate plume behavior, aquifer sustainability, and monitoring efficiency
  • Support development of optimized sampling schedules and well networks
Requirements
  • Degree in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
  • Proficiency in groundwater modeling and statistical evaluation tools
  • Experience supporting regulatory decisions with quantitative analysis
