Job summary

A local swim instruction company is seeking a friendly Swim Instructor to join their team in San Dimas. The role involves teaching children about water safety and swimming techniques through an approved curriculum. The ideal candidate will be a strong swimmer with a positive attitude, responsible for providing instruction, enforcing safety guidelines, and maintaining the pool area. Relevant experience and certifications in First Aid and CPR are preferred, along with a willingness to train further on instructional methods.

Qualifications

• Experience as a certified lifeguard or swimming instructor is preferred.
• Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is a plus.
• Willingness to receive training is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on approved curriculum.
• Enforce all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Rescue swimmers needing assistance and administer First Aid and CPR.
• Inspect pool area for cleanliness and maintenance.
• Maintain proper storage of pool equipment.
• Report accidents and incidents to management.
