Job summary
A local swim instruction company is seeking a friendly Swim Instructor to join their team in San Dimas. The role involves teaching children about water safety and swimming techniques through an approved curriculum. The ideal candidate will be a strong swimmer with a positive attitude, responsible for providing instruction, enforcing safety guidelines, and maintaining the pool area. Relevant experience and certifications in First Aid and CPR are preferred, along with a willingness to train further on instructional methods.
Qualifications
Experience as a certified lifeguard or swimming instructor is preferred.
Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is a plus.
Willingness to receive training is necessary.
Responsibilities
Provide swim instruction based on approved curriculum.
Enforce all safety guidelines and regulations.
Rescue swimmers needing assistance and administer First Aid and CPR.
Inspect pool area for cleanliness and maintenance.
Maintain proper storage of pool equipment.
Report accidents and incidents to management.
