General Responsibilities:
- Support vocational development of individuals with disabilities by managing inventory tasks.
- Oversee daily inventory activities such as receiving, counting, labeling, and organizing materials.
- Maintain accurate records using inventory management systems.
- Work closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing guidance and support.
- Adapt inventory processes to meet the needs of team members with disabilities.
- Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment.
- Train individuals in inventory procedures to build their skills.
- Communicate with supervisors and other departments regarding inventory needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance.
- Support and develop inventory training goals and monitor progress.
- Understand and incorporate Personal Outcomes Measures related to vocational activities.
- Adhere to internal procedures and legal requirements.
- Represent the organization in community and professional activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in inventory management or related fields preferred.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory software preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of assistive tools and techniques is advantageous.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Valid driver’s license and approved driving privileges.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Must be able to handle physical tasks such as lifting over 50 pounds, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing situations.
