Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College – South Bend Campus seeks a part-time tutor to provide writing center support both virtually and in person. You will meet with students in one-on-one, shared, and small-group formats, guiding them to academic resources and best practices.

Applicants should have tutoring or teaching experience, strong oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to diversity. This role also involves documentation in TracCloud and collaboration with faculty.

Qualifications

• Experience in tutoring or teaching and ability to work with diverse student populations.
• Strong oral communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Experience with tutoring programs and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Meet with students individually, in pairs, and in groups in person or virtually.
• Refer students to appropriate academic support services as needed.
• Complete paperwork and recordkeeping in the college system (TracCloud).
• Collaborate with faculty to achieve positive student outcomes.
• Attend department meetings and participate in training programs.
