The Zoe Report is seeking a remote, part-time Writer, Fashion & Celebrity News to cover celebrity news for our vertical. Responsibilities include working with the Editorial Director to pitch and write content such as quick news hits, long-lead features, and evergreen roundups that resonate with our audience via search and social platforms.

The ideal candidate should have a sense of urgency, strong news judgment, and the ability to produce multiple articles daily. Experience in a fast-paced digital newsroom and a passion for celebrities and entertainment are essential.

This role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement between BDG Media, Inc., and the Writers Guild of America East.

Key Accountabilities:

• Write 2-3 celebrity articles daily on Fashion and Celebrity News
• Monitor celebrity news via social media, press releases, and professional networks
• Develop pitches and write compelling leads and summaries
• Collaborate during major events like awards seasons and fashion weeks

Candidate Profile:

• At least 2 years of celebrity writing experience in digital media
• Available to work up to 28 hours/week, primarily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends during award season
• Familiar with search and social media best practices
• Capable of quick, quality writing that maintains brand standards
• Contacts within the fashion industry
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and deadline-oriented
• Knowledge of SEO best practices

Compensation: $30 - $30.77 per hour
