Position: Generalist Writing Expert

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $45/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: ~2 weeks (with potential extensions)

Commitment: Minimum of 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Review provided documents and select suitable content for prompt–answer generation
• Write clear, accurate, and well-structured responses aligned with project guidelines
• Use Markdown (LaTeX preferred for technical content) for formatting
• Ensure originality, clarity, and consistency in all writing
• Work asynchronously and independently, with flexible hours
• Collaborate with Crossing Hurdles’ support team for feedback and clarifications

Requirements

• Strong writing and summarization skills across disciplines
• Familiarity with Markdown (required) and LaTeX (preferred)
• Ability to distill complex ideas into clear, instructional text
• Prior experience in prompt writing, curriculum design, or editing is a plus
• Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported)
