Job summary

Vacuum Deposits (VDI) in Louisville, KY is seeking hardworking individuals to join our warehouse team. You will pack orders, prepare shipments, and manage inventory with FIFO rotation while ensuring safety and quality.

Training for forklift operation will be provided, and data entry into production systems is required. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years shipping/receiving experience, a High School diploma or GED, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1-2 years shipping & receiving preferred.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Must read and write English; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under time constraints while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Packs and prepares orders for daily shipments.
• Enter necessary data into production systems.
• Ships using UPS or FEDEX Freight per guidelines.
• Loads outgoing trucks and unloads incoming trucks.
• Stocks inventory and rotates stock using FIFO.
• Maintains warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Processes returns and restocks inventory as needed.
• Provides service excellence to internal and external customers.

Job description

VDI is looking for hardworking, safety-conscious individuals who desire to be part of a growing and fascinating business. VDI applies specialized materials, utilizing evaporative and magnetron sputtering technologies to produce film-type products for many industries.Position Description: Perform duties in support of overall warehouse organization, packing products for shipment, movement of material to production lines, performing inventories, labeling all materials, assist in management of non-conforming products and warehouse cleanliness.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Packs & prepares orders for daily shipments.Enter necessary data into production systems.Ships using UPS or FEDEX Freight when applicable per established guidelines.Loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks.Stocks all film, rotating inventory so that older stock in in front FIFO.Stores all other warehouse supplies/tools in their assigned areas.Ensures warehouse organization & stock rotation including cleanliness.Ensures timely staging of materials at work centers.Processes returns in & out as per established guidelines notifying appropriate parties and restocking inventory as necessary.Provides Service Excellence to internal and external customers.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, prefer 1-2 years Shipping & Receiving Experience, Prior Forklift experience is a must.Knowledge and Skills:Have a sense of urgency and be able to work under time constraints.Attentive to details.Basic Computer skills.Ability to read & write English.Comply with company attendance and punctuality requirements.Perform accurate, neat, and thorough work.Communicate clearly, effectively and professionally in an accurate and timely manner.Use equipment and materials safely and for their intended purpose.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Positive Can- Do attitude.Strong team player with a commitment to company values and mission.Strong desire to learn, improve skills and to be coached.Understanding of \"Service Excellence\" with a desire to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.Willingness to work days or nights, as the need arises.Special Requirements:Safety is a top priority at VDI.
