Job summary

Polk County Schools in Davenport, Florida seeks an Athletic Coach for Wrestling to develop athletes' skills and sportsmanship. You will plan practices, enforce district rules, and supervise students during games, ensuring safety and fair play.

Candidates must hold a valid DOE Athletic Coaching certificate and pursue endorsement options; bilingual abilities are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must maintain Athletic Coaching certificate issued by DOE as required in state statute.
• A certified teacher is encouraged to add an Athletic Coaching Endorsement to his/her teaching certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise practice sessions appropriate to players' age and maturity.
• Enforce district and FHSAA policies and standards of behavior and sportsmanship.
• Prepare eligibility lists and present to the athletic director.
• Supervise all athletes during practices and games and ensure safe pickup after activities.
