Qualifications

• Certified teacher is encouraged to add an Athletic Coaching Endorsement to teaching certificate.
• Knowledge of FHSAA and county rules governing sports and the ability to work cooperatively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Teach required physical skills and sportsmanship to students.
• Plan and supervise practices suitable for age and maturity of players.
• Prepare schedules under athletic director guidance and establish equipment safety rules.
• Assess athletes to ensure physical condition appropriate to sport and maintain eligibility lists.
• Supervise students during practices and games and ensure safe pedestrian/bus/parent interactions.
