Position: Wrestling Coach - Middle School

Qualifications: Candidates should possess the following: knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations, ability to develop and train student‑athletes, personal skills that reflect positive relations with middle school student‑athletes, parents and community, extensive knowledge of individual and team fundamentals of listed sports, ability to organize and prepare practice schedules, ability to develop a solid discipline emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship. Previous coaching experience is required. Preference will be given to those who hold or are eligible for a Virginia teaching license. Pursuant to state law, applicants must disclose prior convictions other than minor traffic violations or juvenile offenses. Information may be verified by work history, personal reference or criminal record inquiries.

Position requires after‑school and weekend hours.

Coaching stipend available.

Physical conditions: duties performed in school settings including gym and recreational areas. Frequent walking, standing, light lifting, and other physical activities required. Daily close contact with student‑athletes for instruction; regular travel with athletes to and from matches; regular contact with coaches, administrators, parents, and media.

All positions are part‑time, temporary.
