Job summary

Nampa School District is seeking a temporary Middle School Wrestling Assistant Coach to motivate and develop student-athletes, promote fair play, and provide leadership. You will assist with practices, rosters, strategies, and supervising participants at events, while upholding safety and district policies.

The role requires knowledge of wrestling, strong communication, and the ability to work with adolescents in a school athletics setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; teaching certification is strongly preferred.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are encouraged or required.
• Experience in coaching wrestling and working with student-athletes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend tryouts, practices, games, and supervise students at events.
• Organize practice schedules and game rosters; assign positions.
• Develop strategies and coaching styles for athletes of varying abilities.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment; enforce safety policies.
• Promote the athletic program and maintain professional conduct.
