Job summary

Grand Blanc Community Schools is seeking a qualified coach to lead and develop sport programs. The role involves teaching techniques and fundamentals, demonstrating skills, and overseeing all facets of the team and program.

You will be expected to understand and apply MHSAA rules, promote school spirit, and model strong character and sportsmanship for players, parents, staff, and the community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or College Degree required.
• Updated First Aid and CPR training required.
• Must have the ability to work with other coaches and receive direction from the Athletic Director.
• Must be able to relate well to students, parents, school personnel and the general public.
• Must be knowledgeable of MHSAA rules and regulations CAP 1 Class through MHSAA preferred.
• Must strive to boost school spirit and promote good sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Teach techniques and fundamentals of sport.
• Be able to demonstrate all skills necessary for the sport.
• Develop, promote and supervise all facets of your team and sport.
• Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of the sport.
• Assume the responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used.
• Prepare and execute practice and game plans and strategies designed to bring success to the program.
• Be an example of good character and sportsmanship to the team at all times.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Athletic Department.
