Job Overview

High school Independence, Wrestling assistant coaching position. Season runs Winter, November - February.

Roles And Responsibilities

1. Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
2. Collaborate with the athletic department.
3. Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
4. Carry out duties assigned by the head athletic coach.
5. Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the sports program.
6. Suggest disciplinary actions for players violating rules.
7. Foster good sportsmanship, personal pride, and school/community pride among athletes.
8. Perform other duties as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.

Qualifications

1. Coaching experience or participation in wrestling at high school or college level.
2. Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in such courses.
3. Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
4. Prefer candidates with a Virginia Teaching License or full-time classified employment in Loudoun County Public Schools.
