Qualifications

• Minimum with prior assistant coaching experience desirable.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and moral character.
• Interpersonal skills to work with parents, staff and students.
• Follows District and OSAA policies and procedures.
• Ability to organize large groups and lead fundraising efforts.
• Must attain valid first-aid and CPR certification and ASEP/NFHS certification.
• Must have steroid and concussion training and heat acclimatization training.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular practices and competitions with the team.
• Organize and direct the program support staff.
• Promote good sportsmanship with players, staff, opponents and officials.
• Teach wrestling fundamentals to help athletes learn and improve.
• Support academics as part of student-athlete development.
• Demonstrate professional conduct at practices and events.
• Communicate clearly with players, parents and community about plans and scores.
• Attend boosters meetings and report on team activities.
