Coaches must complete NFHS and health/safety certifications; trainings include Fundamentals of Coaching, First Aid, and NFHS COVID-19 courses. Compliance with state policies is required.

Responsibilities

• State Law and health/safety policies must be followed (see links).
• School level AD should keep concussion certificate on file each year.
• School level AD should keep Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate on file each year.
• Complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches as applicable.
• New: NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course must be completed and kept on file each year.
• New: All coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
