Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Hy-Vee Food Safety program required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Wrap, weigh, and label product accurately and apply merchandizing labels.
• Stock cases and rotate product with emphasis on presentation.
• Serve as final inspector of product before display.
• Maintain correct signage and notify out-of-stock items.
• Take customer orders at bakery counter and answer the telephone promptly.
• Assist the designer by decorating and writing on cakes in the designer's absence.
• Assist the baker with pulling product from the freezer and dropping cookies, donuts, and similar items.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
