Job summary

Helpline Youth Counseling (HYC) is a major youth services provider serving Southeast Los Angeles County. We seek a Clinical Supervisor to oversee counseling staff and interns across multiple programs, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Requirements include an MSW/LMFT/PhD-PsyD with California licensure, 3+ years of clinical experience, and the ability to supervise in-person at multiple sites. A sign-on bonus is offered to join our mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
• Active California license as LCSW or LMFT (or PhD/PsyD) with eligible supervisor status.
• Minimum of 3 years of licensed clinical experience.
• Experience with individual, group and family therapy.
• TB screening clearance.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to staff and interns across programs.

• Coordinate and deliver in-service training for clinical programs.
• Review and ensure quality documentation and treatment plans.
• Develop policies to maintain program quality and compliance.

The mission of Helpline Youth Counseling (HYC) is to help build individual, family, and community health, well-being, prosperity, and equity. HYC serves clients and community members with trauma-informed, strength-based, person-centered prevention, early intervention, education, and treatment services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical supervision to all counseling staff/interns and their programs.
• Provide weekly group and individual clinical supervision to pre-licensed Masters level staff who are working towards licensure.
• Provide weekly clinical group supervision to paraprofessional counseling staff.
• Provide consultation, training, and support to all counseling staff.
• Develop and implement in-service training for clinical programs and services.
• Review clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, Up Front Assessments, etc.)
• Responsible for the verification of diagnosis from Axis V.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure quality client services and care.
• May provide consultation and support to interns.
• May participate in grant development.
• Provide clinical supervision at multiple sites.
• Attend assigned meetings and perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related mental health/human services field required.
2. Active license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or PhD/PsyD. and an eligible clinical supervisor for registered Associate Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapist Associates required.
3. Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a licensed clinician in a mental health setting.
4. Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy methods.
5. Verification of 6 hours of Clinical Supervision training CEUs
6. Ability to successfully pass a TB screening test.
7. Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence
8. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and on weekends.
9. Valid California state driver’s license.
10. Current auto insurance, and a good driving record.
