WPCD OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Under general direction of the WPCD Superintendent, supervises and oversees the collection, treatment, and disposal of wastewater for the City.

Mental work efforts involve interpretation and application of legal and quasi-legal rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines requiring managerial decisions and assuming responsibilities which may have significant impact on the City’s ability to maintain pollution-free water systems. Physical requirements include the ability to sit and walk for moderate periods of time, ability to move moderate (25-50 lbs.) materials infrequently, and the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
Work involves normal office environment with frequent exposure to hazardous materials including acids, corrosives, gases, flammables, bacteria, and other chemicals. Will be on (24) hour call.
High School diploma and five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in a wastewater treatment plant, three (3) of which in a supervisory capacity. Must possess a WV Class IV Wastewater Operator’s certificate and be certified as a Laboratory Technician. Other certifications as determined by federal, state, and division regulations may be required.
