Job Description – Sr. Business Analyst

Location: Permanent WFH/Remote/Chennai/Vadodara/Navi Mumbai locations

Experience: 3+ years

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  2. Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  3. Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  4. Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
  5. Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
  6. Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  7. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  8. Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
  9. Plan and coordinate the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required and present findings of studies to product and project teams.
  10. Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports.
  11. Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.
  12. Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
  13. Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.

Requirements:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.
  2. A minimum of 3 years experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance.
  3. A degree in IT / Computer Science.
  4. Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing.
  5. Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
  6. Understanding of API documentation.
  7. Experience in Power BI.
  8. Basic knowledge in generating process documentation.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
  10. Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive.
  11. Ability to work independently and with others.
  12. Extremely organised with strong time-management skills.
  13. The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  14. Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
