Job summary

Goldwater Care Toluca is seeking a Wound Nurse to provide primary skin care for residents under medical direction. While RNs are preferred, qualified LPNs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosing skin disorders, and coordinating with physicians and the DON to ensure resident well-being. Essential skills include licensure, wound certification, CPR, and at least two years of LPN/RN experience.

Qualifications

• LPN/RN licensure in good standing.
• Wound Certification from an accredited program preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum two years of LPN/RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Confer with Nursing leadership regarding residents' dermatologic disorders.
• Examine residents and records to recognize when physician referral is needed.
• Provide assessment and diagnostic services using observation, inspection and palpation.
• Identify, manage and treat skin disorders and lesions.
• Assist in rehabilitation activities and monitor progress.
• Document status and care recommendations to the physician/ DON.
