Samaritan Health Services' wound care program in Albany, Oregon seeks an experienced RN to provide treatment per an established plan of care for wounds and related conditions. You will serve as a resource for patients and staff, performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, and collaborating with WOCN to adjust plans as needed.

The role requires Oregon RN licensure, BLS, and preferably a BSN and wound care Certification.

Qualifications

Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
BSN preferred.
Related certification in Wound Care preferred.
Experience in acute care preferred.
Hyperbaric resource/supervisor: UHMS 40‑hour course required.

Serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff. Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided. Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Provides treatment based upon established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. Serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff. Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided. Collaborates with WOCN to implement changes in the plan of care.

Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.

Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
BSN preferred.
Related certification in Wound Care preferred.
Experience in acute care preferred.
AGH Wound, Vein & Hyperbaric :

If serving as a Hyperbaric resource/supervisor, successful completion of a 40 hour UHMS approved Hyperbaric course required.
