Novant Health is seeking a Wound & Ostomy Specialist RN in Charlotte, NC to deliver expert wound, skin, and ostomy care. You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based treatment, educate patients, and lead clinical initiatives across services.

The role emphasizes leadership in quality outcomes, staff education, and collaboration to optimize wound and ostomy care and patient safety within the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the applicable state required.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Wound Care Certification required.
• Ostomy Certification required.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to patient education and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage complex wounds, including surgical wounds, pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, burns, and other skin conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans, including advanced therapies and dressing recommendations.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative ostomy education and support.
• Evaluate and manage ostomy-related concerns, including leakage and peristomal skin complications.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and clinical staff on wound prevention, treatment, and ongoing care.
• Serve as a clinical resource to nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate staff scheduling and patient assignments for Wound & Ostomy Services.
• Collaborate across departments to support supply management.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Promote evidence-based care that enhances patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• • Associate Degree in Nursing required
