Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a per diem, part-time RN for Wound Ostomy, weekdays on a day shift. You will lead care plans across inpatient and outpatient settings and collaborate with surgeons and hospitalists to advance patient outcomes.

You will educate patients, train staff, and participate in skin care initiatives while supporting the Wound/Ostomy Clinic and regional committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Oregon RN license required on hire.
• Current BLS certification on hire.
• CWON certification or obtain within 12 months of hire.
• 2 years acute care nursing experience, wound/ostomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Craft personalized wound, ostomy, and skin care plans for hospital to home.
• Educate patients and empower them to manage their care.
• Train and support nursing staff in wound/ostomy best practices.
• Lead quarterly Skin Prevalence studies and champion Skin Care Resource Nurse team.
• Provide outpatient ostomy clinic support including stoma site markings and follow-up care.
