Job summary

Burlington Hospital in New Jersey seeks a Certified Nurse Consultant for Wound & Ostomy to support acute and ambulatory care. The role includes patient assessment, individualized care plans, staff education, and interdisciplinary coordination of care across the system.

Responsibilities cover clinical leadership, trials, and performance improvement activities, with collaboration across physicians, nursing, therapy, and social services. Per diem, on-site position with part-time shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year CWON experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Current NJ RN license and BLS certification required.
• Graduate from approved WOCN education program or RN school.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate wound/ostomy care for patients.
• Provide staff education and coordinate unit-based education programs.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapy, nutrition, home care and social services.
• Represent the nursing team on committees and lead system-wide initiatives.
• Support clinical trials, product evaluations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in RCA and incident investigations related to pressure injuries.
