Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) with WOCN contact to join our team in Missouri. The role focuses on direct wound care, care plans, and coordination with wound care providers in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and educating CNAs and nurses on wound care and prevention, with opportunities for growth under experienced management.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license required
• Some wound care experience preferred
• Certification (WOCN) preferred but not required
• 1–3 months related experience minimum

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies, procedures, and Missouri state regulations
• Complete wound treatments for residents in a skilled nursing facility
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate resident condition
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Coordinate with wound care providers and oversee wound treatments
• Provide resident-specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention
• Duties include medication administration, documentation, overseeing residents’ care, and scheduling

Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse / RN or LPN (WCC, WOCN):

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization and the state of Missouri
• Complete wound treatments for residents in a skilled nursing facility
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate resident condition
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Coordinate with wound care providers and oversee nursing staff wound treatments
• Provide resident-specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention
• Duties include medication administration, documentation, overseeing residents’ care, and implementation of schedules for residents

Wound Care Nurse / RN or LPN Qualifications:

• Current RN or LPN license required
• Some wound care experience
• Certification preferred but not required
• Minimum Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
