Job summary

Pineville Rehabilitation & Living Center in Pineville, NC is seeking a Wound Nurse (LPN or RN) to assess, treat, and monitor residents with complex wounds, collaborating with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to promote healing and prevent skin breakdown.

The successful candidate will develop individualized wound care plans, document findings, educate staff, and ensure care meets state and federal standards; a sign-on bonus is available and the facility supports growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina LPN or RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care preferred.
• Wound care experience preferred.

At Pineville Rehabilitation & Living Center, we are committed to providing individualized, high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse LPN or Registered Nurse RN Wound Nurse to join our team!

About the Role

As a Wound Nurse at Pineville Rehabilitation & Living Center, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and treating residents with complex wounds while working closely with the nursing and interdisciplinary teams to promote healing and prevent further skin breakdown. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and monitoring wounds and skin conditions
• Cleaning, treating, and bandaging wounds
• Providing care for pressure injuries, ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic wounds, skin tears, and other complex wounds
• Developing and following individualized wound care treatment plans
• Monitoring residents for changes in condition and communicating concerns appropriately
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing leadership, and other members of the care team
• Educating residents and nursing staff on wound care, infection prevention, skin integrity, and pressure injury prevention
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
• Ensuring wound care practices meet facility, state, and federal standards

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unencumbered North Carolina LPN or RN license
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care setting preferred
• Wound care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
