Job summary

Beecher Manor is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to oversee wound care management and skin integrity programs for residents. The RN will provide high-quality wound care, implement preventative measures, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing License (RN) as required by the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum two years of experience as an RN or LPN.
• Ability to lift and move patients and items up to 75 lbs.
• Strong vision abilities (near/far/peripheral/depth).
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize wound care needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for wound and skin care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Conduct regular wound care rounds and document resident skin conditions.
• Assess resident skin integrity and review medical history related to wound care.
• Implement preventative wound care strategies in care plans.
• Prioritize nursing interventions for wound management.
• Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams about wound needs.
• Initiate nutritional interventions to support wound healing.
• Provide direct resident care in line with facility policies and procedures.
• Ensure residents with incontinence receive appropriate pericare and preventive treatments.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment with infection control protocols.

Wound Care Nurse Requirements:

• Active Nursing License (RN) as required by the state

As a Skilled, Compassionate Wound Care Nurse, You Will:

• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound and skin care

• Assess resident skin integrity and document medical history related to wound care

• Implement preventative wound care strategies in resident care plans

• Prioritize and execute nursing interventions for wound management

• Initiate nutritional interventions to support wound healing
