MemorialCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Wound Healing Center at Saddleback Memorial Hospital. This per diem role focuses on direct patient wound care, staff education, and leadership in wound management.

The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and a current BLS card, with wound and ostomy certifications planned within the specified timelines. Per diem shifts are available in the day rotation, with competitive hourly pay.

Formación

Current California RN License required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Wound certification required within 2 years of hire.
Ostomy certification required within 3 years of hire.

Responsabilidades

Collaborate with care teams across Saddleback Memorial Hospital and Wound Healing Center to ensure smooth operations.
Assist the wound care nurse with patient care and staff education on wound pathophysiology and treatment.
Educate patients and families on ostomy management and care.
Maintain privacy and competency in using the EPIC EHR while documenting care and communications.
Stay current on wound and ostomy best practices and pursue CEUs.
Communicate wound care recommendations to physicians, case managers, and nursing staff.
