Job summary

MDB Health Services is seeking a compassionate Wound Care/Foot Care Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized care in long-term care facilities on a part-time basis. The role focuses on wound and foot care for residents, with travel to designated nursing homes in your area.

Required credentials include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing; WOCN certification is preferred but not required. Strong clinical and communication skills, independence, and dedication to patient-centered care are

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• WOCN certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide foot care and wound care to residents in long-term care facilities
• Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop personalized care plans for each patient
• Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures as needed
• Continuously monitor and assess patients’ progress in wound healing and foot health
• Educate patients and facility staff on effective wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and foot care best practices
• Travel to designated nursing homes in your area
• Communicate regularly with key facility staff, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Manage pain related to wounds to ensure patient comfort
• Maintain flexibility while seeing patients during weekday working hours
